Security Update Installation Instructions

Important Information

Please note that these installation instructions should not be followed if you do not have the ID Tech M130 Device (pictured below). Once this update is installed this will be the only device that allows you to process transactions from PowerPay 5.0

Security Update Installation Instructions

If you have an ID Tech M130 device, please plug in the device and select it from your PowerPay Settings by opening PowerPay and going to:

  1. Setup (Bottom Left)
  2. Hardware
  3. Select Card reader
  4. Select ID Tech
  5. Click Apply

Once your ID Tech M130 is selected in the Settings you can proceed with the installation by closing PowerPay and selecting to start the install

Please start this installation at your PowerPay Server computer. If your PowerPay server computer is not used to process payments the installation still needs to be performed and the ID Tech M130 still needs to be selected in settings. (See instructions above). Once installed on the server please proceed to install where ever you have PowerPay installed.

To install after the M130 is selected

  1. Open PowerPay
  2. Proceed with installation prompts on the screen
